About The Artwork
NVIDIA, founded in 1993, has transitioned from a focus on graphics and gaming to becoming a pivotal player in AI and deep learning technologies, largely thanks to its GPU technology. This transition has had a profound impact on its valuation and market position.
GPUs, originally designed for rendering graphics in video games, have architectures that are exceptionally well-suited for the parallel processing tasks required in AI and machine learning (ML) computations. NVIDIA capitalized on this by developing CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture), a parallel computing platform and application programming interface (API) model that allows developers to use NVIDIA GPUs for general purpose processing (an approach known as GPGPU, General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units).
