In a parallel corridor of time, amidst the dark baroque streets of San Bernardino, arose an establishment of unique repute.
In the year of our Lord 1940, the McHaggis brothers, Richard and Maurice, unveiled a tavern christened as the 'Swift Service System', this tavern was adorned with haunting portraits, where skulls in regal crowns intermingled with clowns, all reminiscent of court jesters from a king's retinue. Their delicacies, particularly the savory meat pies, were as swift as they were scrumptious.
Come 1954, the mystique of this establishment caught the discerning eye of Ronald McTrumpet the First. So much so, that he acquired the humble tavern from the McHaggis lineage. It was under his aegis that the establishment donned a new name. With its doors opened wide, the McTrumpet's tavern witnessed an era of unprecedented flourish.
